Information policy for online orders

We require correct billing first name, last name, address, telephone number and email for all online orders. In the event of incorrect or incomplete online orders, we will attempt to contact the sender by phone and/or email to obtain correct information. We reserve the right to cancel any orders with incomplete information and/or orders flagged by our system as a credit card fraud risk.

 

Privacy Policy

Collects full name, address, phone and/or email contact information for sender and recipient strictly for the purposes of order processing, delivery, and payment processing.

We do not give, sell, or rent this information to third parties, with two exceptions:

1) If the recipient asks for the identity of the sender, we may reveal full name and city.

2) If the information is requested by law enforcement agencies following legal procedures, we will comply.

 We are happy to send anonymous flowers, unsigned cards, or cards with disguised names, or to tell the recipient he or she must guess who the flowers are from; however, if the recipient cannot guess, we may provide the sender’s first name, last name, and city. We do not supply any other information without the sender’s express consent.

Secure Online Shopping

Our order system and customer accounts are handled by Shopify ecommerce. Online credit card transactions are processed by Stripe using the Shopify Payments platform. Your payment information is encrypted with the latest and best SSL and PCI compliant software and processed by secure servers.  Your credit card information is not collected or stored by Sage Flowers.

Delivery Policy

We request at least 24 hours’ notice for delivery, but same-day and rush delivery may be available, depending on our business levels. Please contact us by phone or email for urgent orders.

We require the recipient’s full name, delivery address, and daytime contact information in order to accept your online order.

For residential addresses, we must be able to contact the recipient, or someone at the same address, prior to sending your flowers. Please provide the best daytime contact information for the recipient.  If we cannot make contact with the recipient on your requested delivery date, we will leave a message and try again on the following business day. 

We do not recommend leaving flowers outdoors if the recipient is unavailable, as there is no way for us to guarantee that they will be safe or collected in a timely manner.  We cannot guarantee the quality of your flowers if they are exposed to extreme temperatures, wind, etc.  If you instruct us to leave flowers outdoors, you must take full responsibility for the cost and quality of your gift.

Refund and Cancellation Policy

The following applies to online orders for delivery only.  For Wedding and Special Event payment and cancellation policies, please consult your contract.

We request 24 hours’ notice for cancellations and refunds, to prevent wasted time and product. 

Sage Flowers will provide cancellation and a full refund for deliveries to businesses, hospitals, and retirement homes, until the flowers are en route.  Once flowers are en route with the driver, the order is final and non-refundable.

Sage Flowers will provide cancellation and a full refund for deliveries to residential addresses until the recipient has been contacted to arrange delivery.  This includes leaving a voice, email, or text message for the recipient to contact us and arrange their delivery time. Once we have contacted the recipient or left them a message, the order is final and non-refundable.

We can arrange shop credit and change delivery dates for unforeseen circumstances- ie. Recipient is unexpectedly out of town or takes a day off.

Substitutions

Sage Flowers is committed to sourcing flowers from local and Ontario growers, and fair trade foreign growers.  We use upcycled containers and ribbon.  We do not carry the same flowers or containers seasonally or even week-to-week, and our photos are for guidance only. We may substitute the blooms or container for your order, keeping the same colour scheme, look and feel, and full dollar value of the item pictured.  If you require a particular flower or colour, we recommend calling or emailing us for a custom order.

Quality

We process, store, and deliver our flowers with care to maximize their beauty and vase life. We include care instructions with all deliveries. Unfortunately, as with any  perishable product, there may be issues beyond our control.  If you (or your recipient) have any questions, concerns, or quality issues with your flowers, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery. Depending on the issue, we may offer shop credit or new flowers. As we cannot control water levels, temperature,  and other environmental factors affecting flowers after delivery, we do not offer credit or replacement flowers after 48 hours. 

 

Pricing and taxes

Our prices are subject to change without notice.

All online orders are charged at the Ontario tax rate: 13% HST (harmonized sales tax).
